Primarily works in front of restaurant while cooking and preparing hot meals on flat top grills. Ensures correct food portions are being cooked and maintains the kitchen areas and tables clean and sanitized. Prepares and sets up food for cooking and side orders. Maintains kitchen, cooking areas, kitchen equipment, refrigeration units and food storage areas clean, sanitary and organized. Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned to include cleaning the grills, equipment and floors etc. Min wage start $8.70-$9.00/hr with increase to $10.00-$12.00/hr depending on work ethic and experience. Two shifts: day and night ranging from 11am-5(6)pm and 5(6)pm to close (time varies by location).
Uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, julienne, whip, beat, maintain holding temperature, chill, freeze or otherwise produce food. Handles, stores, labels, and rotates foods properly and in accordance with public health safety, state and local laws. Follows Best Practices for food handling and storage. Min wage start $8.70-9.00/hr. Primarily shifts between 11am-6pm.
